Tak: A Beautiful Game has been nominated for the 2018 Origins Awards, in the category of best board game! Designed by Patrick Rothfuss and our own James Ernest, Tak is an elegant two-player abstract first described in New York Times bestselling novel The Wise Man’s Fear.

The winner of each category is voted on by members of the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design, but Tak fans can participate by voting in the “fan favorite” category at the Origins Game Fair! Winners will be announced and awards presented at the Origins Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 16th.

You can also stay up-to-date on Origins news by tuning in to the Origins by Night podcast, hosted by James Ernest, Mike Selinker, and Paul Peterson. Origins by Night covers Origins announcements and interviews numerous luminaries, including publishers and game designers.

Congratulations to all of our fellow nominees, including Sagrada, Near and Far, and many more! Good luck to everyone!
